Deck overview

This Mardu deck utilizes a blend of Human tribal go-wide aggression, pillowfort defense, and forced-combat political control. In the early game, you establish tax effects and token generators to build a resilient board. You use pillowfort staples and goad spells to direct opposing attacks away from you and whittle down life totals. Once the table is softened, you cast Jirina Kudro to pump your entire Human board with plus two power and close out the game through explosive, wide swings or unblockable alphastrikes enabled by cards like Taunt from the Rampart.
