Deck overview

This deck is a five-color prison and control strategy built to strip opponents of their mana base and maintain a total resource lock. Led by Golos, Tireless Pilgrim, the deck uses dense 1-drop acceleration to deploy early tax effects before casting mass land destruction spells like Armageddon and Cataclysm. It breaks symmetry using mana creatures, land auras, and recursion engines such as Crucible of Worlds and Ramunap Excavator. Once opponents are cut off from mana, lock pieces like Winter Orb, Static Orb, and Smokestack prevent them from rebuilding. The deck then slowly closes out the game through combat damage using Golos and small utility creatures, or by activating Golos's ability to cast free spells from exile.
