Deck overview

This Sultai self-mill deck is built around Kotis, the Fangkeeper, a 3/3 indestructible commander that exiles the top X cards of an opponent's library on combat damage (where X is the damage dealt) and lets you cast spells with mana value X or less from among them for free. The primary plan is to deploy Kotis, protect it with the deck's modest interaction suite, and repeatedly connect for combat damage to generate overwhelming card advantage and rapidly deploy opponents' spells. The 99 leans heavily into graveyard filling via creatures like Wailing Ghoul, Gorging Vulture, and Ainok Wayfarer, then recurs key pieces with Elvish Regrower, Gravedigger, and Rite of Renewal. The deck lacks infinite combos, relying instead on incremental value, creature beats, and a few drain effects (Vengeful Bloodwitch, Graveblade Marauder) to close out games.
