Deck overview

Ghave, Guru of Spores is a five-mana legend that sits at the center of a **+1/+1 counter deck** that also functions as an aristocrats-style drain engine. The game plan is simple: land Ghave, use his first ability to create Saprolings, then feed those tokens through sacrifice outlets (Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar, Viscera Seer) to drain opponents and stack +1/+1 counters. The deck's second layer is a **redundant reanimation/tutor suite** - Mantle of the Ancients, Eldritch Evolution, Finale of Devastation, and a near-complete set of low-mana tutors - to keep the board assembling a premium package after disruption. It can present a very fast "Voltron" line (turn 3-5) when it curves, but it also has a genuine grind line that beats midrange tables with "Champion of Lambholt" and "Scurrilous", if players leave windows. The deck's main residual speed is "token producer beats repeated use of Ghave - produce X saprolings, feed to Vislection's draws, repeat."
