Ixtola by user5158090

Format: Commander

Commander: Y'shtola, Night's Blessed

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Y'shtola is an Esper control/value build that turns 3+ mana noncreature spells into universal drain and card advantage. The deck plans to slow the table with Kambal, Propaganda, Grand Abolisher, and Solemnity while accumulating cards through Phyrexian Arena, Jin-Gitaxias, Faerie Mastermind, and Y'shtola's end-step trigger. It then closes with one of two library-out wins: Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact emptying the deck in front of Laboratory Maniac or Jace. The backup, if the combo is disrupted, is incremental life-loss from Vito, Sheoldred, and Exsanguinate. The commander is the engine rather than the finisher; the deck keeps functioning without her, but loses a full turn of damage and draw.
