Format: Commander

Commander: Massimo, the Magician

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Massimo, the Magician is a combat-spell engine: he imprints one-mana instants/sorceries from the graveyard onto creatures as they enter, then turns each successful combat hit into a free copied cast. The primary plan is to stock the graveyard with Lightning Bolt and Chain Lightning, go wide with token producers, make the swarm unblockable, and close on a single large attack. The secondary plan is a spells-matter storm using Veyran, Kykar, Storm-Kiln Artist, Aria of Flame, Fiery Inscription, Thousand-Year Storm, and Ojer Axonil, with Ojer's replacement effect turning small burn into 4-damage hits. No hidden commander exists; the legends in the 99 are payoffs rather than alternate generals.
