Deck overview

This deck executes an aggressive Voltron-Stax strategy centered on Slicer, Hired Muscle. Using dense fast mana and rituals, the deck deploys Slicer on Turn 1 or Turn 2 via its More Than Meets the Eye alternate cost. Slicer attacks immediately on your turn and passes to each opponent on their upkeep, dealing 24 base commander damage per table rotation. To prevent opponents from advancing their own game plans or comboing off, the deck establishes asymmetric lock pieces such as Blood Moon, Cursed Totem, Torpor Orb, and Vexing Bauble. These artifacts and enchantments cripple opposing mana bases, enter-the-battlefield triggers, and activated abilities while leaving Slicer's combat triggers untouched. Low-cost redirection spells like Deflecting Swat and Bolt Bend keep Slicer alive through spot removal, allowing combat damage to close the game by Turn 4.
