If Not Food, Why Food Shaped? by user4774820

Format: Commander

Commander: Ygra, Eater of All

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Food-sacrifice combo deck helmed by Ygra, Eater of All. The primary game plan revolves around generating an endless loop of token creation and sacrifice, using Chatterfang, Squirrel General and Experimental Confectioner alongside a free sac outlet to produce infinite death triggers. These triggers are then converted into a win via drain effects like Bastion of Remembrance, Disciple of the Vault, or Mirkwood Bats. Ygra itself acts as a massive beater and a synergy piece, turning all creatures into Food artifacts to feed the sacrifice engine. The deck is packed with token doublers (Peregrin Took, Parallel Lives, Academy Manufactor) and abundant card draw, ensuring it can find its combo pieces quickly. While the commander is a valuable enabler, the core combo can function without it, giving the deck a resilient core.
