Deck overview

Talrand, Sky Summoner pilots a mono-blue draw-go control deck that converts every instant or sorcery into a 2/2 flying Drake. The plan is to land Talrand, bury opponents in countermagic and bounce effects, and let the Drake swarm close the game while the stack is locked down. Backup pressure comes from Chrome Host Seedshark Incubator tokens, Glen Elendra's Answer Faeries, and the late-game Hullbreaker Horror as an uncounterable 7/8 with a built-in permanent-bounce engine. The deck is not a combo deck: it wins by attrition, leveraging a massive instant-speed suite - including nine free counterspells - to outlast three opponents. The modal land Hydroelectric Specimen // Hydroelectric Laboratory helps fix mana early, while Archmage of Runes and Voracious Reader lower spell costs to enable multi-spell turns. It is a classic permission build that is slow to establish a board but extremely hard to dislodge once Talrand sticks.
