Deck overview

This deck leverages 30 copies of Dragon's Approach to create a fast, redundant burn-storm engine commanded by Tiamat. In the opening turns, it deploys mana rocks and cost reducers like Locket of Yesterdays and Ruby Medallion while discarding or casting Dragon's Approach to stock the graveyard. On Turn 5, exiling 5 copies from the graveyard cheats Niv-Mizzet, Visionary onto the battlefield. Because Dragon's Approach deals 3 noncombat damage to each opponent, Niv-Mizzet, Visionary draws 9 cards per cast. This triggers an explosive chain that digs for more Approaches, damage doublers like Twinflame Tyrant, and Terror of the Peaks, burning all three opponents from 40 to 0 on the same turn. If the graveyard plan faces resistance, Tiamat provides an alternate avenue by tutoring a massive five-Dragon hand to pivot into aerial combat.
