Format: Commander

Commander: Lyse Hext

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Lyse Hext is the chassis of a fast Azorius aura-voltron deck: her {1} discount turns the many one-mana cantrips into free spells, each triggering Prowess and enabling double strike. The primary kill is commander damage across one or two unblockable double-strike hits, usually after a Steel of the Godhead or Aqueous Form plus a chain of cantrips and auras. Alisaie and Alphinaud Leveilleur act as a hidden partner engine when the commander is taxed, while Sram, Kor Spiritdancer, and multiple combat-damage draw auras keep the chain alive. Monastery Mentor and Leonin Lightscribe offer a token backup plan. The deck is explosive but heavily commander-reliant and vulnerable to repeated removal.
