Deck overview

This mono-green deck centers on Tifa Lockhart, utilizing her exponential power-doubling landfall ability to deliver lethal commander damage quickly. The game plan opens with 1-mana and 2-mana ramp pieces to cast Tifa on Turn 2. On Turns 3 and 4, the deck sequences fetchlands, land-search spells like Harrow, and pump spells like Groundswell or Adventuring Gear to double Tifa's power to 21 or greater. Because Tifa has innate trample, excess combat damage easily overwhelms single blockers. The deck defends its aggressive line with an efficient suite of 1-mana protection spells such as Tamiyo's Safekeeping and Tyvar's Stand. If the commander is removed or heavily taxed, alternate landfall payoffs like Scute Swarm, Rampaging Baloths, and Avenger of Zendikar provide a resilient token army to close out the game.
