3. Lifegain by user8644413

Format: Commander

Commander: Selenia, the Cursed Heart

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Orzhov life-gain-and-drain deck, helmed by Selenia, the Cursed Heart, aims to deploy a swarm of small, evasive lifelink creatures, double every point of life gained, and convert that life into direct damage to opponents. The commander's passive doubling of life gain and its death-trigger curse that doubles life loss create a powerful symmetrical engine. The deck leans heavily on recursion (Raise the Past, Storm of Souls, Smile at Death) to grind through board wipes, and uses drain outlets like Blood Artist and Enduring Tenacity to close out games. Primary win conditions are incremental drain from Debt to the Deathless and combat damage from a buffed Serra Ascendant or a wide board of lifelinkers. The deck has no infinite combos and relies on value accumulation over several turns.
