Bigger They Are... by ThoughtfulWalrus

Format: Commander

Commander: Dina, Essence Brewer

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Dina, Essence Brewer helms a Golgari sacrifice-and-lifegain value engine. The deck uses creatures as disposable resources: sacrificing them draws cards with Dina or Morbid Opportunist, fuels Greater Good or Deadly Dispute, and gains life through death triggers and activated abilities. That life is converted into +1/+1 counters by Willowdusk or into team-wide pump by Blossoming Bogbeast. The default plan is attrition plus a big trample swing, but Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord acts as a hidden commander, offering a direct sacrifice-based drain finish with Wall of Blood. Defiant Bloodlord can also turn a large lifegain event into global damage. Recursion from Veinwitch Coven, Moseo, and Victimize keeps the value train moving after wipes.
