Deck overview

This deck is a high-impact mono-green cheat strategy commanded by Kona, Rescue Beastie. The game plan focuses on deploying Kona ahead of curve on Turn 3, safely tapping her through utility permanents like Paradise Mantle and Exploration Broodship or through standard combat attacks, and triggering her Survival ability at the start of the second main phase. This allows the pilot to cheat colossal permanents directly from hand onto the battlefield without paying their high mana costs. Payoffs include devastating threats such as Blightsteel Colossus, Worldspine Wurm, and Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant, backed by game-warping support cards like Akroma's Memorial, The Ten Rings, and Vorinclex, Voice of Hunger. The deck closes the game across two combat cycles using trample enablers and power multipliers such as Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus and Overwhelming Stampede. While reliant on protecting Kona, robust big-mana ramp serves as an effective backup plan.
