Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity mono-red spellslinger and token-storm engine commanded by Zada, Hedron Grinder. The strategy focuses on deploying a wide board of inexpensive creature tokens during the early turns using cards like Dragon Fodder and Mogg War Marshal. Once Zada enters the battlefield on Turn 4, any 1-mana instant or sorcery targeting Zada copies for every other creature controlled. Inexpensive cantrips like Crimson Wisps and Ancestral Anger draw massive hands of cards, which easily chain into explosive mana rituals like Battle Hymn and Brightstone Ritual. With Storm-Kiln Artist or Birgi, God of Storytelling generating continuous mana, the deck storms through its library to eliminate all opponents on Turn 4 using overwhelming trample damage from Fists of Flame, direct life blasts from Aetherflux Reservoir, or infinite token copies from Dualcaster Mage and Heat Shimmer.
