Deck overview

This mono-green deck uses efficient, high-power creatures to rapidly reduce the cost of Ghalta, Primal Hunger, regularly casting the 12/12 commander for just two green mana on turn 4. The supporting cast includes under-costed beaters like Gigantosaurus and Pugnacious Hammerskull that fuel Ghalta's affinity-style cost reduction. Once on the battlefield, Ghalta converts high baseline power into card advantage through spells like Rishkar's Expertise and Garruk's Uprising. Combat multipliers such as Unnatural Growth and Overwhelming Stampede amplify the board to deliver lethal trample damage across the table. While the deck possesses strong board resilience through high-stat redundancy, it relies on natural card flow due to a lack of tutors and carries minimal instant-speed spell protection against sweepers and targeted removal.
