Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir control list that converts creature toughness into a devastating mill engine using Phenax, God of Deception. In the early turns, it deploys efficient mana rocks, defensive creatures, and continuous draw engines like Rhystic Study and Black Market Connections. Once Phenax is established, the deck pivots into an oppressive clock using high-toughness threats such as Tree of Perdition, Consuming Aberration, and The Ancient One, or executes an immediate win with Eater of the Dead. A comprehensive interaction suite of countermagic, sweepers, and targeted removal shields the combo while disrupting opposing win attempts. If the mill strategy is obstructed, an alternate aristocrats combo featuring Gravecrawler, Phyrexian Altar, and Blood Artist provides an independent line to victory.
