Deck overview

Prosper, Tome-Bound leads a Rakdos midrange deck built around impulse draw and Treasure generation. The primary strategy focuses on deploying Prosper by turn four, exiling cards with his Mystic Arcanum ability, and casting spells from exile to generate an escalating pool of Treasure tokens. These tokens provide rapid mana acceleration, fixing, and fuel for artifact-based aristocrat finishers. The deck converts its artifact surplus into lethal damage using payoff creatures like Marionette Master, Mayhem Devil, Nadier's Nightblade, and Reckless Fireweaver, or through the alternate win condition of Hellkite Tyrant. While the deck generates steady card advantage and strong mid-game mana velocity, it lacks direct tutors, free countermagic, and fast mana rocks. This pacing leaves its setup vulnerable to targeted removal and aggressive combo strategies. Overall, the deck excels in casual and focused pods where incremental card flow and sustained attrition can grind down opponents across multiple combat and drain cycles.
