Commander: Michelangelo, the Heart and Leonardo, the Balance

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a five-color Mutant Ninja Turtle tribal deck helmed by the partner pair Michelangelo, the Heart and Leonardo, the Balance. The strategy is a +1/+1 counter and token engine: Michelangelo generates Food and counters on attack, while Leonardo pumps the entire board whenever a token enters. The 99 is packed with redundant counter engines - Donatello, the Brains, Corpsejack Menace, High Score, Level Up, Vigor, and Biogenic Ooze - that snowball counters across a wide board of Mutant, Ninja, and Turtle creatures. Wins come from combat: Raphael, the Muscle doubles damage from countered creatures, Shredder, Shadow Master halves life totals, and Leatherhead, Iron Gator pumps the team on attack. The deck grinds value through Food, Clue, and Mutagen tokens, with Cowabunga! as its only real tutor. It is a midrange value deck that wins through overwhelming counter-based combat rather than combos.
