Deck overview

The deck uses Captain N'ghathrod to turn Horror combat damage into milling and to steal artifact or creature cards milled from opponents' libraries that turn. Cheap landfall creatures such as Ruin Crab and Hedron Crab start the mill process, while Breach the Multiverse, Fractured Sanity, and Traumatize provide larger bursts. Reanimation from Captain N'ghathrod, Reanimate, Extract from Darkness, and Virtue of Persistence lets the deck convert graveyards into board presence. Ramp is respectable, with Sol Ring, signets, talismans, rituals, and cost reducers. The main weakness is that the deck has no deterministic table kill: milling is fast but not always lethal, and its creatures need attacks or additional activations. Interaction and protection exist, but the deck cannot consistently assemble its commander, mill support, payoff, and defense together. It is best played as a value-oriented graveyard deck that wins through accumulated milling and stolen creatures rather than through a compact combo.
