Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius group-hug and token-swarm deck commanded by The Council of Four. Its core strategy revolves around symmetric card draw effects, such as Howling Mine, Kami of the Crescent Moon, and Dictate of Kruphix, to ensure every player draws at least two cards during their turn. Because opponents draw extra cards, the commander repeatedly triggers on each opponent's turn, drawing an extra card and creating a steady stream of 2/2 Knight tokens whenever opponents cast multiple spells. As your hand size swells and tokens accumulate, secondary engines like Alandra, Sky Dreamer, Mischievous Mystic, and Ominous Seas generate additional flying and high-power threats. The deck converts this overwhelming card flow and board presence into a lethal clock around Turn 6 using evasive anthems like Herald of Hoofbeats or mass counters from Vodalian Wave-Knight. Defensive deterrents like Propaganda protect your life total while efficient counterspells safeguard the finish.
