Deck overview

This list is a high-power Dimir Zombie combo deck that leverages aristocrat synergies to assemble a lethal infinite drain loop. While The Scarab God provides mid-to-late-game resilience, scrying, and reanimation advantage, the core win condition completely bypasses the commander. The primary strategy uses premier tutors such as Demonic Tutor, Entomb, and Buried Alive to assemble Gravecrawler, a mana-generating sacrifice engine like Phyrexian Altar or Warren Soultrader, and an aristocrat drain piece such as Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, or Plague Belcher. Fast mana pieces like Dark Ritual, Chrome Mox, and Mana Vault accelerate this setup to Turn 4. The deck protects its combo turn using an elite suite of free and efficient counterspells, including Force of Will and Fierce Guardianship. Should the primary loop be disrupted, extensive reanimation magic easily pieces the engine back together.
