Deck overview

This mono-black control deck turns creature removal and combat into a relentless card-drawing engine led by Massacre Girl, Known Killer. By granting all friendly creatures wither and drawing cards whenever an opponent's creature dies with toughness less than 1, the deck systematically dismantles opposing creature boards while refilling its hand. It converts this card flow into devastating board locks, such as pairing Maha, Its Feathers Night with Night of Souls' Betrayal or Kaervek, the Spiteful to kill every incoming opposing creature immediately. Efficient interaction pieces like Deadly Rollick, Opposition Agent, and Orcish Bowmasters suppress opposing game plans during the early turns. Once absolute board control is established, the deck leverages large mana producers like Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx to close the game decisively with a massive Exsanguinate or recurring life-drain triggers from Syr Konrad, the Grim, Vein Ripper, and Massacre Wurm.
