Deck overview

Karlach, Fury of Avernus paired with Clan Crafter forms an explosive Izzet combo-midrange deck designed to execute lightning-fast finishes backed by elite countermagic and format-ceiling acceleration. The deck leverages hyper-efficient zero- and one-mana artifacts and Treasure generators like Dockside Extortionist and Ragavan, Nimble Pilferer to establish early mana dominance. Clan Crafter in the command zone turns excess artifacts into reliable card flow, digging into compact two-card win conditions: Glint-Horn Buccaneer paired with Malcolm, Keen-Eyed Navigator, or Niv-Mizzet, Parun enchanted by Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout. Additionally, Underworld Breach and Brain Freeze provide an alternative storm route. Free interaction pieces such as Force of Will, Fierce Guardianship, and Deflecting Swat tightly defend combo execution against opposing disruption. While the deck lacks dedicated stax locks, its sheer speed, redundancy, and uncounterable or instant-speed kill lines allow it to threaten the table on Turn 4 and close games in zero response cycles.
