Deck overview

This deck is an Izzet Spellslinger and Storm strategy helmed by Alania, Divergent Storm. The primary game plan focuses on setting up early mana acceleration and cost reducers, resolving Alania on Turn 4 or 5, and leveraging her triggered ability to duplicate high-impact instant and sorcery spells. By giving an opponent a single card draw, Alania copies the first instant and sorcery cast each turn, generating massive card advantage and mana velocity through duplicated draw spells and explosive rituals like Jeska's Will and Mana Geyser. On Turn 6, the deck converts this immense mana into a decisive same-turn finish, wiping out all opponents simultaneously with a duplicated Crackle with Power or through an infinite burn loop using Ral, Storm Conduit and copy spells like Fork. The list includes strong reactive countermagic and protection pieces like Hexing Squelcher to defend its critical turn.
