Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Dragon tribal deck led by Scion of the Ur-Dragon. The game plan focuses on fixing mana in the opening turns, casting Scion, and utilizing its activated ability to search the library for Dragons and place them directly into the graveyard while copying their abilities. This allows Scion to deal heavy commander damage with Atarka, World Render, infect opponents with Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon, clear creature boards with Balefire Dragon, or draw large hands via Ancient Silver Dragon. The deck complements this pressure with powerful reanimation spells like Patriarch's Bidding and Reanimate to return entombed Dragons straight to the battlefield. A robust 44-land mana base supports the five-color requirements. While the deck boasts high offensive power and inherent hexproof protection through instant-speed toolbox activations, it lacks cheap instant-speed removal and counterspells, leaving it open to fast combo decks and opposing board wipes.
