Commander: The Watcher in the Water

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

The Watcher in the Water is a mono-blue draw-go value deck that uses card draw as both its engine and its win condition. The goal is to draw cards during opponents' turns to generate Tentacle tokens, then convert those draws into Psychosis Crawler drains, Ominous Seas Krakens, and Alandra Drake swarms. The commander is an enormous Kraken that eventually untaps through Tentacle deaths, letting it attack while tapping down opponents' permanents with stun counters. There is no hidden commander or double-faced face; the deck is built to use Watcher as a resilient board presence, but it can also win without it through Psychosis Crawler plus a doubled mass draw spell. The deck is slow, controlling, and heavily card-advantage based.
