Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Spellslinger Aggro-Control strategy built around Fire Lord Azula. The game plan revolves around casting Azula on curve, attacking to trigger firebending mana, and casting instant-speed spells during combat to duplicate their effects. Early turns focus on mana development using forty lands, Sol Ring, Arcane Signet, and Dark Ritual. Mid-game turns leverage Azula's copying ability alongside flash enablers like High Fae Trickster and Borne Upon a Wind to double removal, card advantage, and token generation. Heavy beaters like Avatar Roku, Firebender and Ozai, the Phoenix King capitalize on abundant red combat mana to deliver massive combat damage. The deck controls the board with efficient counterspells and an overloaded Cyclonic Rift before closing out the game across two attack cycles. While vulnerable to targeted commander removal and lacking infinite combos, the deck generates compounding combat value and versatile interaction.
