Commander: Shelob, Child of Ungoliant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari Spider-tribal midrange value deck built around Shelob, Child of Ungoliant. Shelob is the army's engine: every Spider gains deathtouch and ward {2}, and any creature dealt damage by a Spider this turn becomes a Food-artifact token copy when it dies - turning combat, fights, and one-sided wipes into removal, lifegain, and sacrifice fodder. The primary path to victory is wide-board combat: generate a critical mass of Spider tokens, pump them with Wall Crawl, The Swarmweaver, and Garruk's Uprising, break open stalled boards with Spider-sparing sweepers like Crippling Fear, Kindred Dominance, and Swarmyard Massacre, then close with Triumph of the Hordes poison or evasive combat via Rogue's Passage. Graveyard value from Spider Spawning, Nyx Weaver, and escape spells provides a second wind, while Ishkanah, Grafwidow, Rotwidow Pack, and Obelisk Spider grind out the late game.
