Deck overview

This deck is an aggressive Golgari graveyard-swarm engine commanded by The Mycotyrant. It converts active self-mill and dredge effects into a rapidly expanding army of Fungus and Saproling creature tokens. Early turns focus on accelerating mana and filling the graveyard using efficient mill enablers like Hermit Druid, Stitcher's Supplier, and Golgari Grave-Troll. Once The Mycotyrant enters on Turn 3 or 4, every permanent card hitting the graveyard triggers the descend mechanic, generating non-blocking Fungus tokens on each of your end steps. The deck leverages mana converters such as Cryptolith Rite and Insidious Roots to turn these wide tokens into explosive mana bursts. The primary win condition culminates on Turn 6 by overwhelming opponents with mass overrun effects like Craterhoof Behemoth and Beastmaster Ascension, or draining the table with Mirkwood Bats. While vulnerable to mass graveyard exile and sweepers, deep dredge mechanics and redundant token engines provide steady recovery.
