Human Torch by Undiscripted

Format: Commander

Commander: Human Torch

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a four-color (RGWU) Voltron-combat deck helmed by Human Torch. The plan is to cast the commander, trigger his combat keywords by casting a noncreature spell the same turn, then pay Human Torch's {R}{G}{W}{U} attack cost so his combat damage fans out to the entire table. The 99 supports this with +1/+1-counter proliferation, damage doublers (Absorbing Man and Titania, Raphael, the Muscle), equipment, and three extra-combat payoffs (Aurelia, the Warleader, Tifa, Martial Artist, Seize the Day). Secondary pressure comes from large Hero/God bodies and noncreature-spell payoffs such as Thor, God of Thunder and Niv-Mizzet, Visionary. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins through explosive multi-combat turns that convert a single large hit into table-wide lethal damage.
