Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Villain kindred and discard midrange strategy led by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The deck leverages Doom's combat-step connive trigger to loot through cards, buff Villain creatures, and trigger steady life drain whenever land cards enter the graveyard. Supporting engines like Leader, Super-Genius, Ultron, Unlimited, and Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon compound the value of connive triggers by drawing additional cards, creating Robot tokens, and spreading +1/+1 counters across the board. Graveyard synergy pieces such as Containment Construct, Moonstone, Harsh Mistress, and Mayhem creatures ensure that discarded resources remain castable rather than lost. To close out games, the deck pivots into an evasive combat assault with menacing and flying threats boosted by The Squadron Sinister and Patchwork Banner, complemented by burn from Tectonic Reformation and Shadow of the Goblin. A robust Grixis interaction suite protects the engine and controls opposing boards.
