Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir Horror tribal and mill deck led by Captain N'ghathrod. The strategy deploys evasive Horror creatures with menace to deal combat damage, milling opponents' libraries and reanimating their best creatures and artifacts during your end step. The deck complements combat theft with mass-mill sorceries such as Maddening Cacophony, Cut Your Losses, and Traumatize, which synergize with Bruvac the Grandiloquent and Syr Konrad, the Grim to drain life totals and deplete libraries. Powerful late-game bombs like Toxrill, the Corrosive, Hullbreaker Horror, and Bolas's Citadel provide heavy board presence and card velocity. However, the list runs only 26 lands, creating significant mana friction that delays deployment and engine recovery. To succeed, the deck must manage its early land drops carefully, protect its key creatures from sweepers, and leverage stolen opposing resources to overpower the table over several combat cycles.
