Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Spellslinger and Combo-Control build helmed by Codie, Ravenous Codex, utilizing the Prepare mechanic alongside Magecraft synergies. The primary strategy involves ramping out early Prepare creatures whose split adventure-like spells provide ramp, removal, card draw, and rituals. Once Codie enters the battlefield, any cast prepared spell is automatically copied for free, doubling the output of iconic effects such as Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall and Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song. Mid-game transitions leverage Storm-Kiln Artist, Archmage Emeritus, Veyran, Voice of Duality, and Professor Onyx to transform duplicated spells into enormous mana pools, massive card velocity, and catastrophic life drain. While lacking persistent stax pieces or fast 0-CMC mana rocks, the deck compensates with overwhelming raw card advantage, flexible multi-target interaction, and explosive storm turns capable of closing out games on Turn 6.
