Lathril OG by user7680411

Format: Commander

Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Lathril, Blade of the Elves is the spine of a Golgari elfball deck. The primary plan is to develop a wide board of Elf tokens with one-drop mana dorks and token makers, attack with Lathril to multiply the swarm, then use her activated ability to drain each opponent for 10 life at a time. Secondary paths are a combat finish with Overrun and lords, or a life-loss burst from Skemfar Shadowsage and Shaman of the Pack. Lathril is both the token engine and the drain payoff, so keeping her on the battlefield is essential. There is no hidden commander; Miara, Thorn of the Glade is a value Elf in the 99, not a partner.
