Deck overview

This Gruul deck focuses on ramping aggressively into its commander, Etali, Primal Conqueror // Etali, Primal Sickness. By leveraging explosive mana dorks, fast artifact mana, and burst rituals, the deck routinely casts Etali by Turn 4 or earlier. Resolving Etali immediately exiles and casts the top nonland card of every player's library for free, generating massive tempo and card advantage in a single turn. The deck capitalizes on this board presence by creating token copies of Etali with spells like Twinflame and Heat Shimmer, repeating the cascade of free spells. To close out games, the deck can assemble infinite creature combos such as Dualcaster Mage with Twinflame or infinite creature mana with Food Chain and Squee, the Immortal. Alternatively, it can transform Etali into Etali, Primal Sickness to eliminate opponents via lethal infect combat damage.
