Modify creatures by Yaelwinner

Format: Commander

Commander: Halana and Alena, Partners

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Gruul +1/+1 counter synergy deck helmed by Halana and Alena, Partners, which put counters on another creature each combat and grant haste. The primary strategy is to establish a modified creature (equipped, enchanted, or bearing counters), then leverage counter doublers, extra combat steps, and combat-damage payoffs to overwhelm opponents. Key win conditions include Kosei, Penitent Warlord (which deals damage to all opponents when modified and connects), Akki Battle Squad (extra combats with modified attacks), and Mage Slayer (damage equal to power on attack). The deck lacks infinite combos but compensates with incremental value from cards like Beast Whisperer, Guardian Project, and Kami of Celebration. It plays as a midrange combat deck that aims to snowball into an unstoppable attacker.
