GISELA THE EARTHWORKER by luismanuelbatista

Format: Commander

Commander: Gisela, the Broken Blade

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-white deck is helmed by Gisela, the Broken Blade and aims to win through a combination of disruptive stax pieces, land destruction, and either the meld into Brisela, Voice of Nightmares or a repeatable combo using Heliod, Sun-Crowned and Walking Ballista/Triskelion. The early game focuses on deploying mana rocks and tax effects like Thalia, Guardian of Thraben and Vryn Wingmare to slow opponents, while Grand Abolisher shields your own turn. The midgame either assembles the Heliod-ballista infinite damage loop or lands Gisela and Bruna, the Fading Light to meld into Brisela, a massive flying lock piece that shuts off cheap spells. Land destruction like Armageddon and Cataclysm can break parity when combined with Avacyn, Angel of Hope or Serra's Emissary. The deck is resilient but heavily reliant on its artifact mana base, making it vulnerable to focused hate.
