Deck overview

This mono-black Zombie aristocrats deck is commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. It focuses on building a wide army of undead creatures, sacrificing large creatures to create hordes of 2/2 Zombie tokens, and overrunning opponents through combat and life drain. The deck curves out with low-cost Zombies, mana rocks, and card-draw engines like Cryptbreaker and Undead Augur. Once Gisa enters the battlefield, she converts tall threats like Grave Titan or Soulless One into wide token swarms. Tribal lords such as Death Baron, Undead Warchief, and Lord of the Accursed grant power buffs, deathtouch, and menace to close out combat efficiently. In addition to combat damage, aristocrat payoffs like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel drain opposing life totals directly. While the list lacks fast combo wins and non-creature interaction, its deep redundancy, recursion, and board presence provide consistent midrange pressure.
