Deck overview

This deck is a five-color spellslinger combo deck piloted by Codie, Ravenous Codex, utilizing a custom roster of prepared creatures. By casting prepared spells from its creatures, Codie duplicates instant and sorcery effects while triggering Magecraft engines. The primary game plan revolves around accelerating mana early with multi-color dorks like Bloom Tender and Faeburrow Elder, deploying Codie on Turn 3, and assembling an untap engine such as Jeskai Ascendancy or Chakram Retriever by Turn 4. On Turn 5, the deck activates Codie to prepare its entire army and loops prepared spells, netting mana and cards with every cast. This generates infinite mana and draws the library, culminating in an immediate same-turn kill via copied Emeritus of Conflict // Lightning Bolt or Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate. While vulnerable to creature removal, high redundancy and solid recovery make it a fast and resilient combo deck.
