Format: Commander

Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Grixis amass/goblin deck built around Sauron, the Dark Lord. The primary plan is to grow an Army and attack it; every successful Army hit triggers the Ring, letting Sauron discard a mostly empty hand and draw four cards, while repeated amass triggers make the next hit bigger. Lord of the Nazgul's Wraiths, Fiery Inscription, and Guttersnipe form the backup damage plan. Sauron, Lord of the Rings acts as a hidden commander in the 99, adding amass and recursion. Treasure from the Smaugs, The Balrog of Moria, and Shiny Impetus accelerates but is not itself a finisher. The commander is the hand-size engine; the deck wins through combat pressure, not a deterministic combo.
