Deck overview

This deck is a Temur Spellslinger engine commanded by Iroh, Grand Lotus. It focuses on casting cheap instants, sorceries, and Lessons, then reusing them from the graveyard for minimal mana. By leveraging cost reducers like Doc Aurlock, Grizzled Genius and mana generators like Storm-Kiln Artist and Birgi, God of Storytelling, the deck rapidly generates high storm counts. It turns these spells into lethal damage using pingers like Fiery Inscription, Guttersnipe, and Vivi Ornitier, or by pumping excess mana into an explosive Crackle with Power. Free interaction like Deflecting Swat and Fierce Guardianship protects the commander while the deck digs deeply with cantrips. The deck operates as a proactive combo-style storm list that wins decisively on Turn 5.
