Deck overview

This Grixis deck operates as a high-synergy spellslinger and combo archetype led by Fire Lord Azula. Azula generates mana and copies every spell cast while attacking, creating explosive velocity when paired with flash enablers such as Leyline of Anticipation, Valley Floodcaller, Borne Upon a Wind, and Vedalken Orrery. The deck pairs this engine with a compact, deterministic win condition: Dualcaster Mage copying Twinflame to produce infinite hasty 2/2 tokens that eliminate all three opponents in a single combat step. Alternatively, the deck can storm off with Storm-Kiln Artist, Birgi, God of Storytelling, Ral, Storm Conduit, and Aetherflux Reservoir, using rituals and copy spells like Reiterate to achieve arbitrary damage. The deck features strong protection in Fierce Guardianship, Deflecting Swat, and Teferi, Mage of Zhalfir, alongside robust recursion through Past in Flames and Mizzix's Mastery.
