Deck overview

Thranduil, the Elvenking leads a Sultai Elf tribal deck that bridges traditional go-wide mana generation with explosive graveyard combo lines. By copying all activated abilities of Elf cards in your graveyard, Thranduil functions as a versatile modular engine. The primary win condition revolves around putting Devoted Druid and Immaculate Magistrate into the graveyard—most efficiently via Buried Alive—allowing Thranduil to untap infinitely, generate infinite mana, and grow to arbitrary size. From there, outlets such as Zameck Guildmage, Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, or Exsanguinate eliminate all three opponents in a single turn. When the combo route is unavailable, the deck pivots naturally into a resilient midrange strategy using lords like Elvish Archdruid and Thranduil, Sindarin Liege alongside token producers to overwhelm the board. Dense low-cost interaction, including countermagic and targeted removal, protects Thranduil while disrupting opposing wins.
