Format: Commander

Commander: Lathril, Blade of the Elves

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Lathril is a Golgari elf-ball commander. The primary plan is to flood the board with 1/1 Elf Warriors from Lathril's combat trigger and token generators, then finish with a one-turn overrun from Craterhoof Behemoth, Overwhelming Stampede, or Ezuri, Renegade Leader. Lathril's activated ability provides a secondary drain line that picks off weakened tables. The deck curves low and uses mana dorks (Elvish Mystic, Priest of Titania, Wirewood Channeler) to jump ahead; card draw from Beast Whisperer, Guardian Project, and Skullclamp keeps the board full. It is aggressive but not all-in: targeted removal and a few protection pieces allow it to grind.
