Deck overview

This is a Dimir artifact-matters value deck helmed by Golbez, Crystal Collector. Every artifact that enters triggers a surveil, which fuels Matoya, Archon Elder's draw engine and fills the graveyard for Golbez's end-step recursion. At end step, four or more artifacts return a creature from the yard to hand, and eight or more convert that recursion into a repeatable life-loss drain equal to the creature's power. The deck wins through big artifact beaters - Krang, Utrom Warlord, Triplicate Titan, Phyrexian Triniform - cheated in via Master Transmuter, Reanimate, or Golbez's own recursion, backed by a soft Mindslaver + Unwinding Clock lock and a modest control suite of counterspells and Cyclonic Rift. It is a slow, grindy value deck that outlasts opponents through recursion and artifact density rather than speed.
