Deck overview

This Golgari list is a life-gain and +1/+1 counter engine built around Blech, Loafing Pest. There is no hidden commander or double-faced element: the deck is unambiguously built to maximize Blech's trigger. It creates a steady board of Pests, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders, turns every life-gain event into counters, and finishes by overrunning with Root Manipulation or Triumph of the Hordes. Secondary axes include Dina, Soul Steeper and Hooded Blightfang draining opponents, plus a sacrifice/recursion package using Cauldron of Essence, Moseo, and Victimize. The commander is the main multiplier rather than a required combo piece: the deck can pivot to token swarms and drain if Blech is answered. It plays a midrange game, developing mana and board before an explosive combat turn.
