Queen Marchesa is a Mardu control shell that uses the monarch to generate card advantage and Assassin tokens while steering toward life-total combo finishes. The primary kill is Near-Death Experience: the deck casts that enchantment, then uses Plunge into Darkness or Necropotence to set exactly 1 life on the upkeep trigger. Backup lines involve Blasphemous Act + Brash Taunter/Repercussion damage reflection, Repay in Kind, and Ad Nauseam plus Flare of Fortitude/Teferi's Protection. Sunforger and a suite of free/instant protection keep the plan safe. Marchesa herself is a pragmatic haste beater and monarch enabler rather than a necessary combo piece.
