Deck overview

This deck leverages a hybrid Cat and Zombie tribal strategy led by Olag and Miau, New Friends. The core game plan floods the battlefield with low-cost Cat and Zombie tokens using engines like Leonin Warleader, Brimaz, King of Oreskos, Jadar, Ghoulcaller of Nephalia, and Arahbo, the First Fang. As creatures enter, the commander distributes +1/+1 counters across opposite tribes, rapidly scaling threat size while enabling aggressive attacks. At each end step, the commander drains each opponent for life equal to the number of tapped Cats and Zombies, turning combat engagement and mana taps from Cryptolith Rite or Insidious Roots into direct life loss. Redundant payoffs like Throne of the God-Pharaoh, Corpse Knight, and Sovereign Okinec Ahau accelerate the clock, allowing the deck to pressure life totals simultaneously through combat damage and unblockable end-step drain triggers.
